With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinaldo Freitas in the 4th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. 6 minutes into the match, Reinaldo Freitas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Tiaguinho Gavilanes fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ...Pingue S.C....'s protests and gave Tiaguinho Gavilanes a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, ...Pingue S.C.... was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiaguinho Gavilanes to maneuver through the defense. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. ...Pingue S.C....'s Michael Pardaves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Wilson Amorim in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 15th minute, ...Pingue S.C....'s Tonio Austria dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute of play forced ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Portugal's Faustino Almeida suffered a sore thigh after 28 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Pardaves in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 42nd minute of play forced ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Santiago Gavilanes charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Santiago Gavilanes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Portugal's Camilo Costa was substituted for Daniel Pimentel. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reinaldo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Viriato Moura stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 50th minute to try and stop a shot by ...Pingue S.C....'s Reinaldo Freitas. But to his dismay, Reinaldo Freitas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Felipe Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Javier Abin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Felipe Barreto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Javier Abin came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Barreto slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 57th minute. ...Pingue S.C....'s Díaz Principe was substituted for Santi Gavilanes. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Raul Caetano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Javier Abin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 64th minute of play. ...Pingue S.C....'s Javier Abin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save ...Pingue S.C.... from getting a goal against them. Michael Pardaves kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Michael Pardaves got a free kick in the 69th minute. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Viriato Moura in the 72nd minute. Maximo Villarinos made in the 77th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Portugal's Camilo Costa. In the 77th minute Felipinho Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Abin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 80 minutes into the match, ...Pingue S.C....'s goalkeeper Javier Abin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Javier Abin made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Felipinho Amorim sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viriato Moura to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Díaz Principe during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 88 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Javier Abin. ...Pingue S.C....'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Viriato Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Javier Abin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 91st minute. Graciano Coutinho hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. ...Pingue S.C.... had won after a very even match.
