Evstati Shushev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 11th minute of play. Ruben Barajas kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Oscar Mulero's Charly Cordero got a free kick in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Oscar Mulero's Ruben Barajas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evstati Shushev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 30th minute of play forced Oscar Mulero's goalkeeper Evstati Shushev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Qarabulud La Forgia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 41 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Raul Caetano hit a great ball. Qarabulud La Forgia kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a rather tough play, Oscar Mulero's Efrain Merexildo got a free kick in the 50th minute. Viriato Moura struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Evstati Shushev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. Viriato Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipe Barreto got free with Evstati Shushev in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 65 minutes into the match, Oscar Mulero's goalkeeper Evstati Shushev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. With a little luck, Oscar Mulero's Evstati Shushev got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Oscar Mulero's Jacky Chan was substituted for Heliodoro Palacios. Felipinho Amorims short, quick shot in the 78thth minute got Evstati Shushev to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 83 minutes, Felipinho Amorim managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipinho Amorim was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Iemberge came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 温树峰 in the 89th minute of play. When Jacky Chan fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oscar Mulero's protests and gave Jacky Chan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Portugal booed when Oscar Mulero was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacky Chan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Oscar Mulero's goal looked a bit too open when Bartolomeu Dias came free, but Evstati Shushev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Evstati Shushev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caetano Moreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
