Guilherme Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 22nd minute of the match. Rodolfo Miranda kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Belchior Mamatulin got free with Wilson Amorim in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 24th minute, Belchior Mamatulin reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 3-1. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Luizão Castro tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Belchior Mamatulin to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Faustino Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
