Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rafael de Medeiros was a little too slow when Lars Meesters got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 3rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to Capibaribe Stars getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Conrado Berger hit a great ball. Rafael de Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wim Wilmes's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Sandrinho Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Capibaribe Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Rafael de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wilmes's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Rafael de Medeiros skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gust Ennemans hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Capibaribe Stars's Rafael de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Capibaribe Stars from getting a goal against them. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael de Medeiros. Rafael de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 23 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Rafael de Medeiros. Wim Wilmes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 4-0. Rafael de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 26th minute of play. Capibaribe Stars's Rafael de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 27th minute of play. Sandrinho Pinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnout Reekers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sandrinho Pinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 33rd minute of the match. Capibaribe Stars's Rafael de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 34th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rafael de Medeiros made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 44th minute of play forced Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Rafael de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael de Medeiros didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeca Cordeiro made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rafael de Medeiros. Capibaribe Stars's Rafael de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 56th minute of play. Rafael de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lars Meesters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wim Wilmes scored 8-0 in the 63rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rafael de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 65th minute of the match. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capibaribe Stars's goalkeeper Rafael de Medeiros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 10-0 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rafael de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Gust Ennemans notched a goal, 11-0, to the right of Capibaribe Stars's Rafael de Medeiros. Rafael de Medeiros was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rafael de Medeiros. Capibaribe Stars's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Meesters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 12-0. In the 79th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Capibaribe Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Carlos de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rafael de Medeiros was frozen by the shot and now it was 15-0. Rafael de Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 89th minute of play. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 90 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rafael de Medeiros. Rafael de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 16-0. Rafael de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There was no doubt that Netherlands were the better team. Netherlands's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
