The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fabrice Caillot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caelan Hayes in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes had been played when some careless play by Stade Ygossais's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Micah Macdonald was slow to take the kick. During this time England's players had a chance to rest. The corner led England's Micah Macdonald to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabrice Caillot despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. England's Khalid Kennedy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save England from getting a goal against them. Fabrice Caillot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kyle Cox in the 19th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, England's Cooper Thompson got a free kick in the 21st minute. Stade Ygossais's Fabrice Caillot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Issac Dawson in the 26th minute of play. Issac Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fabrice Caillot came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by England's Micah Macdonald. But to his dismay, Micah Macdonald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Micah Macdonald in the 40th minute of play forced Stade Ygossais's goalkeeper Fabrice Caillot to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Omar Yousfi was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 40th minute of the game. One of Stade Ygossais:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of England:s goal. The referee gave England a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Micah Macdonald, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Stade Ygossais's Fabrice Caillot. 0-2. In the 48th minute of the match Micah Macdonald sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fabrice Caillot skillfully saved the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Kyle Cox made the kick off in the second half. Stade Ygossais's Fabrice Caillot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Issac Dawson in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dove Carrat in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Khalid Kennedy saved England from getting behind. Fabrice Caillot showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Cox, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Issac Dawson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrice Caillot having to interfere. A collision led to England getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Cooper Thompson hit a great ball. Jean Kahn struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Khalid Kennedy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stade Ygossais. After having played for 71 minutes, Issac Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. England's supporters crossed their fingers, but Issac Dawson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabrice Caillot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Issac Dawson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 85 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Seth Young. In the 93rd minute, Jean Kahn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
