Oliver Holub hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Belon in the 8th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Stade Ygossais's goal looked a bit too open when Metod Mlynar came free, but Fabrice Caillot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Jean Kahn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henrich Slany. Slovakia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jean Kahn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Zigmund Maliar's late challenge caught a Stade Ygossais's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Henrich Slany was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Metod Mlynar to strike the kick off in the second half. Martial Jay took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Henrich Slany. Henrich Slany dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 55th minute, Aaron Fernström left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stade Ygossais fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adam Belon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Adam Belon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stade Ygossais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martial Jay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Belon in the 79th minute of play. When Metod Mlynar came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Slovakia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Metod Mlynar couldn't finish the play.
