Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Amado in the 16th minute. Desert Fury's Nuno Dikaté played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 21st minute of play. A hard shot 25 in the game by Afonso Amado from a close distance when the talented Keld Paulsen managed to make a qualified save. Denmark's players were relieved. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Amado in the 28th minute. Nuno Dikaté showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chris Nygaard in the 34th minute of the match. Hélio Manarte kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Lars Steen took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Dikaté. Nuno Dikaté dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Keld Paulsen stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Amado's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. With his leg Keld Paulsen managed to avoid a goal in the 46thth minute, when Desert Fury's Afonso Amado fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Nuno Ramos. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Afonso Amado made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Afonso Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. João Carlos Caneças charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Carlos Caneças the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Denmark booed when Desert Fury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Keld Paulsen came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Desert Fury's Nuno Ramos. But to his dismay, Nuno Ramos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. João Carlos Caneças received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Amado in the 77th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chris Nygaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denmark's Chris Nygaard got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Afonso Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
