Oberá were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after England's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Haroldo Guter took the corner. In the 14th minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damián Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erland Gåsland could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Khalid Kennedy made a huge save. 18 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alberto Cresencio. Khalid Kennedy made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Erland Gåsland sent off a good shot on target. A nice corner shot did that Micah Macdonald got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Damián Martínez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The supporters of England booed when Oberá was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Khalid Kennedy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Cresencio in the 83rd minute of the match. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khalid Kennedy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Cresencio went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Kyle Cox sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 95 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Leighton Davies. Khalid Kennedy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Pelayo, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Khalid Kennedy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Cresencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. For all the effort they put into the match, the England players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Oberá.
