Bogdan Dyachkov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Bogdan Dyachkov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 21st minute of play forced FK Amur's goalkeeper Bogdan Dyachkov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, FK Amur's Maksim Ivaschenko got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Maksim Ivaschenko came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Dyachkov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konstantin Lukyanovich scored 2-1 in the 38th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bogdan Dyachkov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maksim Ivaschenko in the 42nd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FK Amur fans' excitement grew in the 42nd match minute when FK Amur's Maksim Ivaschenko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 44th minute. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Igor Blauberg in the 46th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. Bogdan Dyachkov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Klim Lukin hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 61st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Klim Lukin sent off a good shot on target. After 79 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. 81 minutes into the match, FK Amur's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Bogdan Dyachkov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 82nd minute Konstantin Lukyanovich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bogdan Dyachkov didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. Netherlands's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
