Afonso Amado scored 2-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Keld Paulsen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Keld Paulsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Ramos, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The audience was convinced that Afonso Amado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keld Paulsen was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars Steen in the 38th minute of play forced Desert Fury's goalkeeper Nuno Dikaté to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Afonso Amado in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Keld Paulsen saved Denmark from getting behind. Chris Nygaard succeeded in the game's 43rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-1. Lars Steen kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

João Carlos Caneças hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Nuno Dikaté made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chris Nygaard in the 59th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Amado in the 92nd minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Denmark walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
