In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, ALYA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pimentel came free, but Gong Cheng Yu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute, Oliver Heldens reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 1-0. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yüksel Çelikhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gong Cheng Yu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to ALYA FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Yüksel Çelikhan hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

In the 54th minute of the match Portugal got a corner. ALYA FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. The audience was convinced that Yüksel Çelikhan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. In the 87th minute Yüksel Çelikhan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 89th minute of play forced ALYA FC's goalkeeper Gong Cheng Yu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Gong Cheng Yu in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felipinho Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gong Cheng Yu having to interfere. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Portugal had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
