In the 94th minute of the match Italy got a corner. AC Raczyny's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Deodato Magliozzi advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-2 in the 94th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Italy eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
