In the 16th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sigfrido Auletta ran over to the corner to take the kick. Italy's Deodato Magliozzi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bernabe Benat in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Arquímedes Guillen charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arquímedes Guillen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Wolverine A.C.【LBF】 getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Arquímedes Guillen hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 19th minute of play forced Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's goalkeeper Bernabe Benat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Flavio Vittori successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bernabe Benat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 23rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 24 minutes, Zaccheo Andolina put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernabe Benat. A collision led to Wolverine A.C.【LBF】 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Åke Wenerdahl hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's Franco Bosch slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flavio Vittori. That made the score 2-1 after 35 minutes of play. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 41 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Melquiades Guzman who took care of the corner kick. Epifanio Mannie hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

52 minutes into the game, Epifanio Mannie threw the ball into play from the sideline. Italy's Siricio Liotta quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Bernabe Benat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Italy's Flavio Vittori played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dariusz Nikodemski in the 71st minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Epifanio Mannie in the 74th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rico Moco in the 75th minute of play. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's goalkeeper Bernabe Benat, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rico Moco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Porziano Marchitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. Epifanio Mannie made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. After 95 minutes of play, Wolverine A.C.【LBF】's Franco Bosch made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Flavio Vittori was left in no man's land by his defense there!
