An unexpectedly hard shot by Niklas Johnsson in the 16th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 19th minute, Arne Arenius left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Löttorp fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Germany's Malte Schiele got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arne Arenius was the one to do the kick off.
