In the 91st minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fulgencio Villalcazar, passed just outside the right post. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bertran Batuecas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
