When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Márcio Cordeiro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in FC Beatriz 08's zone, Camille Baume stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico lago came out of the goal and Camille Baume tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maxime Durand took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pepe Bomba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 minutes France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Emilis Rožėnas who took care of the corner kick. Frank Peletier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Eurico lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Flavio Graziani kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, FC Beatriz 08's goalkeeper Eurico lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Peletier. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After having played for 91 minutes, Frank Peletier managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Peletier was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
