The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Rodriguinho Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ATHLETICO PRaiano's Heitor Maldini got a free kick in the 16th minute. Rodriguinho Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 17th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Zaccheo Andolina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 29th minute of play. 34 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Porziano Marchitelli came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodriguinho Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 35th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho Sousa was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin van Persie got free with Flavio Vittori in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After the first half Italy were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Erubiel Valery in the 51st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when Erubiel Valery made a throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game. 60 minutes into the match, ATHLETICO PRaiano's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Rodriguinho Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 61 minutes ATHLETICO PRaiano's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Sigfrido Auletta who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Sigfrido Auletta got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rodriguinho Sousa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Robin van Persie hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Zaccheo Andolina succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-3 in the 84th playminute. Italy's Adriano Curto was substituted for Zaccheo Andolina. In the 88th minute Adriano Curto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Sousa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to ATHLETICO PRaiano getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Unax Mudarra hit a great ball. Zena Busacca hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After 95 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for ATHLETICO PRaiano! Rodriguinho Sousa had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Siricio Liotta's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 96 minutes into the match, Siricio Liotta notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of ATHLETICO PRaiano's Rodriguinho Sousa. Rodriguinho Sousa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than ATHLETICO PRaiano.
