Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Victor Santxol started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Victor Santxol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 11 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Carl Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felipe Barreto received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carl Engström came out and tried to block the shot, but Felipe Barreto slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 13th minute. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radamel Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. In the 25thth minute of the game Felipe Barreto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Surahammar's Carl Engström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Portugal's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Felipe Barreto in the 26th minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Surahammar's goalie and right to Graciano Coutinho. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Surahammar's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. 29 minutes into the game, Toninho Lara threw the ball into play from the sideline. Portugal's Rodolfo Miranda quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Santxol in the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Santxol in the 38th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 42 minutes, Rodolfo Miranda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Surahammar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Radamel Oakley might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Radamel Oakley ran back to his position shaking his head. 45 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pimentel came free, but Carl Engström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daniel Pimentel might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Engström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Pimentel ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. When Daniel Pimentel came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Pimentel couldn't finish the play. Carl Engström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Victor Santxol blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. With a little luck, Portugal's Wilson Amorim got control of the ball when Victor Santxol tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 61st minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Caetano Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. André Pettersson might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Pettersson ran back to his position shaking his head. André Pettersson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Graciano Coutinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute Surahammar were awarded a corner. Toninho Lara went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Surahammar's Toninho Lara to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilson Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. A throw-in in the 94th minute of the game was made by Folke Skröder with Adrian Kodzhabashev as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Surahammar's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
