Viriato Moura took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitaliy Vischak. Vitaliy Vischak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. 26 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Atarrabi came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodolfo Atarrabi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Amorim having to interfere. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Venceslao, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amador Venceslao got free with Wilson Amorim in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. After 36 played minutes Soroca F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Cyprien Combaz. In the 38th minute of the match Felipe Barreto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vitaliy Vischak skillfully saved the ball. In the 40th minute, Soroca F.C.'s Rodolfo Atarrabi dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 42 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Vitaliy Vischak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Viriato Moura came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Moura couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Soroca F.C.'s Vitaliy Vischak got control of the ball when Felipe Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 54th minute Christian Gagriel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Soroca F.C. made a substitution. Cosme Jaen replaced Rodolfo Atarrabi. Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula was substituted for Christian Gagriel. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! Felipinho Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vitaliy Vischak. For all the effort they put into the match, the Portugal players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Soroca F.C..
