Faustin Compagnon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Vavrinec Holub made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clovis Lenoble in the 14th minute of play. Kvetoslav Janku's late challenge caught a Fierce's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kvetoslav Janku helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. Fabrice Lepetit didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Jilek went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Alan Rezek's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fabrice Lepetit read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 37th minute, David Rusil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th match minute, Fierce was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramón Sirvent to maneuver through the defense. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clovis Lenoble in the 44th minute of the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Jilek to make the kick off. When Svatopluk Capek fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Czech Republic's protests and gave Svatopluk Capek a yellow card for diving instead. After 56 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clovis Lenoble, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After a rather tough play, Czech Republic's Kvetoslav Janku got a free kick in the 59th minute. After 65 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by David Rusil. The supporters of Czech Republic booed when Fierce was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 71 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thibaut Giret didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Erik Jilek got free with Fabrice Lepetit in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alan Rezek hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Clovis Lenoble, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Andrea Bocelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fierce made a substitution.
