A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Malte Schiele hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Servet Turabi sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. In the 13th minute, one of Esbjerg fB:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Esbjerg fB. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Germany. Frank Sachs stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Wawrzyniec Walicki. 1-1. Zakarias Brejnrod received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tommy Kahn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germany's attentive Janik Vogt managed to snatch the ball when Ib Dalsted made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. Esbjerg fB's Wawrzyniec Walicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albin Holweck in the 24th minute of play. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albin Holweck, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 27thth minute of the game Frank Sachs who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Esbjerg fB's Wawrzyniec Walicki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Esbjerg fB's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Sachs came free, but Wawrzyniec Walicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zakarias Brejnrod kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Wawrzyniec Walicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Servet Turabi tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frank Sachs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wawrzyniec Walicki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Holweck in the 52nd minute of play. Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 54th minute. After taking down the ball on Germany's corner Frank Sachs fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Wawrzyniec Walicki quite easily take care of the ball. When Esbjerg fB's 于震树, in the 56th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Esbjerg fB. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Servet Turabi in the 60th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Servet Turabi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Servet Turabi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Servet Turabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. When Germany's Frank Sachs in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Esbjerg fB's goalie prevented a goal. Esbjerg fB:s Wawrzyniec Walicki showed great skill when he stopped Frank Sachs:s penalty. 83 minutes into the game, Esbjerg fB's 于震树 nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. Frank Sachs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Germany's Albin Holweck got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albin Holweck to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teddy Øxbøg in the 95th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
