Ilija Skugor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tanek Daszkowski in the 3rd minute of the match. Ilija Skugor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tanek Daszkowski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Joeri Donderwinkel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 9 minutes, Neven Culina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Croatia and the NFC Eagles 22 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Neven Culina got a free kick in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Croatia's goal looked a bit too open when Joeri Donderwinkel came free, but Ilija Skugor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Teo Gudelj fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Croatia's protests and gave Teo Gudelj a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Croatia getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Teo Gudelj hit a great ball. After 13 minutes, Tanek Daszkowski made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Croatia's Ilija Skugor tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ilija Skugor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tanek Daszkowski in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Croatia defense, Tanek Daszkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ilija Skugor. The Croatia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ilija Skugor should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Tanek Daszkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilija Skugor was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. In the 27th minute Damir Pongrac shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ciccio Tacconi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Raymond Schouten might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ilija Skugor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raymond Schouten ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 34th minute, Raymond Schouten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 38th minute, Tanek Daszkowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ilija Skugor was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. In the 40th minute, Raymond Schouten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The NFC Eagles 22 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. The audience was convinced that Tanek Daszkowski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ilija Skugor was relentless in the 44th minute of the game. Teo Gudelj kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 47 minutes of play, NFC Eagles 22's Tanek Daszkowski made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toni Mauzer made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, NFC Eagles 22's Joeri Donderwinkel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Croatia's goalkeeper Ilija Skugor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raymond Schouten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ilija Skugor having to make a save. Ilija Skugor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tanek Daszkowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tanek Daszkowski in the 69th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ilija Skugor saved Croatia from getting behind. 71 minutes into the game, Tanek Daszkowski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Ilija Skugor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 75th minute, Raymond Schouten got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. NFC Eagles 22's Tanek Daszkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. NFC Eagles 22's Jeroen Heerckes was substituted for Emil Houwing. Tanek Daszkowski received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ilija Skugor came out and tried to block the shot, but Tanek Daszkowski slotted it home off the left post making it 0-10 in the 80th minute. Raymond Schouten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ilija Skugor having to interfere. The supporters of NFC Eagles 22 booed when Croatia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teo Gudelj didn't get a good kick on the ball. Croatia's defense didn't have a chance, in the 96th minute, when Tanek Daszkowski scored to the left of an out of position Ilija Skugor, making the score, 0-12.
