Mariano Andujar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 4th minute of the match. Mariano Andujar made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Wim Wilmes sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's David Eikelkamp got a free kick in the 8th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Ensenadas's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mariano Andujar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 11 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Mariano Andujar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 19 minutes, Wim Wilmes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Ensenadas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Siro Bazil kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Lars Meesters sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Andujar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Benino in the 24th minute of play. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Mariano Andujar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. 33 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Sanchez came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ensenadas's Mariano Andujar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The supporters of Ensenadas booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 45 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. Faustino Sanchez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute of the match Pablo Celio shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 58 minutes Ensenadas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. In the 60th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Andujar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 61st minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Andujar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mariano Andujar came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt. But to his dismay, Gustaaf Groeneveldt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. 74 minutes into the game, Gustaaf Groeneveldt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Mariano Andujar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mariano Andujar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wim Wilmes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute of the match Netherlands got a corner. Ensenadas's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximo Umbruso in the 83rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Benino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Netherlands fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ensenadas had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
