The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Almeida came free, but Tom Wall reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Stenman in the 29th minute of play. The wind increased when Viriato Moura made the kick off in the second half. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacey Sharp in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Cacey Sharp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Zero Hedge's Cecilio Fanuco was substituted for Cacey Sharp. 74 minutes into the match, Zero Hedge's goalkeeper Tom Wall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bubu Denat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Cecilio Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Daniel Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias was substituted for Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. In the 82nd minute Cecilio Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led to Zero Hedge's Nelson de Queirós getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 94th minute, Zero Hedge's Bengt Holm seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bengt Holm the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Zero Hedge protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bengt Holm had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Bengt Holm hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Rodolfo Miranda didn't quite understand what happened when in the 97 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
