After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Porziano Marchitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Italy's supporters rose to their feet, but Porziano Marchitelli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Truman Harrington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Zaccheo Andolina's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Truman Harrington was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 14th minute of play forced PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalkeeper Truman Harrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandru Eugen. The supporters of Italy booed when PALMEIRAS-UTAH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th match minute, PALMEIRAS-UTAH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominik Olchawa to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bailey Kerns was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Aloísio Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. A collision led to PALMEIRAS-UTAH getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Charlton Livingston hit a great ball. After some careless play in the PALMEIRAS-UTAH defense, Sigfrido Auletta kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Truman Harrington. The PALMEIRAS-UTAH fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Truman Harrington should have stopped the shot. In the 61stth minute of the game Bailey Kerns who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute Bailey Kerns shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Flavio Vittori saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siricio Liotta in the 65th minute of play forced PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalkeeper Truman Harrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Eliseo Cutri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Vittori took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dominik Olchawa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th match minute, PALMEIRAS-UTAH was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis Livingston to maneuver through the defense. Truman Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 84th minute of play. With a little luck, PALMEIRAS-UTAH's Truman Harrington got control of the ball when Zaccheo Andolina tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Italy booed when PALMEIRAS-UTAH was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luis Livingston didn't get a good kick on the ball. Italy's Sansone Vanella was substituted for Gianpaolo Mascari. Luis Livingston kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Adriano Curto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Truman Harrington read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Adriano Curto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aloísio Lima sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Italy's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Italy may have spent more time on the ball, but PALMEIRAS-UTAH were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
