Antal Valentin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivan Vlaykovski having to make a save. 8 minutes into the match, Cacciola's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Ivan Vlaykovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Krastyo Planski fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cacciola's protests and gave Krastyo Planski a yellow card for diving instead. Balazs Lajos might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ivan Vlaykovski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Balazs Lajos ran back to his position shaking his head. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cacciola's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Ivan Vlaykovski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balazs Lajos in the 20th minute of the match. Major Barna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Ivan Vlaykovski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 27 minutes into the match, Cacciola's goal looked a bit too open when Hegedus Henrik came free, but Ivan Vlaykovski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Hegedus Henrik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ivan Vlaykovski. Cacciola's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hegedus Henrik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Armando Toppi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the match, Hungary's Major Barna sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivan Vlaykovski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 37 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cacciola's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. In the 41st minute, Armando Toppi reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fodor Daniel. The goal made the score 1-1. 45 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Federico Frabetti. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Federico Frabetti made a kick off. In the 53rdth minute of the game Federico Frabetti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Ivan Vlaykovski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Cacciola's Emilio Giancola. But to his dismay, Emilio Giancola quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. In the 62nd minute Federico Frabetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antal Valentin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ivan Vlaykovski made a huge save. Major Barna received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivan Vlaykovski came out and tried to block the shot, but Major Barna slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 72nd minute of play forced Cacciola's goalkeeper Ivan Vlaykovski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivan Vlaykovski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 80 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Armando Toppi came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 90 played minutes Cacciola got a freekick which was hit by Armando Toppi. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivan Vlaykovski having to interfere. In the 94th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Takacs Tibor to maneuver through the defense. Hungary were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
