Spectators: 49 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Arnout Boswijk took the kick off in the first half of the match. Mathias Huiting was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Toni Mauzer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toni Mauzer really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mathias Huiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Martin Bosak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 18 minutes of play, Ágætis Byrjun's Dirk Reitsma made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilija Skugor was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 21st minute, Toni Mauzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Huiting was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ágætis Byrjun's Paul van Mol got a free kick in the 24th minute. Mathias Huiting took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Patrick van der Valk was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Patrick van der Valk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Ágætis Byrjun's goalkeeper Mathias Huiting had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Toni Mauzer. Mathias Huiting didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dinko Stankovic went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Arnout Boswijk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Ilija Skugor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ton Kort's late challenge caught a Croatia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ton Kort helped the player get up and apologised. Ton Kort hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Ton Kort got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Otto Cramer. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

If Dirk Reitsma had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Silvije Santek got a free kick in the 65th minute. Silvije Santek got a throw-in 66 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Neven Culina. Robert Folkers's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Ilija Skugor skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Croatia's Neven Culina got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Ágætis Byrjun's Han van Asten quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eduard Kostelac, made in the 74th minute of the game. In the 75th minute, Toni Mauzer made a precise shot to the right of Mathias Huiting. Ágætis Byrjun's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After 82 minutes of play, Croatia's Toni Mauzer made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias Huiting was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ágætis Byrjun's Paul van Mol managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Neven Culina in the 85 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Ton Kort managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ágætis Byrjun's supporters rose to their feet, but Ton Kort was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ilija Skugor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucien de Ridder struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Ilija Skugor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ágætis Byrjun. The Croatia support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
