After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Fred Guihard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Balla 1926 fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Fred Guihard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Linus Schwerner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 played minutes Balla 1926 fc got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Serantoni. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Guihard to strike the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, Fred Guihard made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Germany's Tommy Kahn tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Fred Guihard might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tommy Kahn. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fred Guihard ran back to his position shaking his head. A throw-in in the 56th minute of the game was made by Malte Schiele with Frank Sachs as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geirhvatur Ómarsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 61stth minute of the game Fred Guihard who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Chris Mergenthaler hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Germany's Frank Sachs sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Patricelli narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Fred Guihard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Balla 1926 fc's goalkeeper Claudio Patricelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. If Albin Holweck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Claudio Patricelli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Sachs in the 71st minute. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Balla 1926 fc's Radoslaw Debowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tommy Kahn in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
