But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Ronaldo Simão struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Wilson Amorim didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘. The supporters of └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ booed when Portugal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ronaldo Simão took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dráusio Mota showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 41 minute of play. Enkel Seger hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldo Simão to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caetano Moreira to maneuver through the defense. 52 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Dráusio Mota came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Dráusio Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Dráusio Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Ronaldo Simão put it in 4-2 from a short distance just to the right of Wilson Amorim. In the 65th minute, Wilson Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Wilson Soares kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. If Ronaldo Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute, Dráusio Mota left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-2. The corner was taken by Nestor Batista in the 74th minute. Nestor Batista made a great header on └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘'s corner, it was just that Portugal's Wilson Amorim managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 79th minute Ronaldo Simão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ made a substitution. The tension between the └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ and the Portugal players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 97th minute, Cauã Trevisan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. └◘RivierA▬Þauli§tA◘┘ were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
