Henrich Slany showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 毛明昆 in the 6th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Oliver Holub during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Proteu booed when Slovakia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oliver Holub didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Denílson Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Proteu's supporters rose to their feet, but Denílson Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vavrinec Koleno kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Proteu's Luizinho Perfumo got a free kick in the 54th minute. After some careless play in the Slovakia defense, 毛明昆 kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Henrich Slany. The Slovakia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Henrich Slany should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Proteu were the better team. Proteu's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
