Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Nechifor Păunescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 26th minute of play. After some careless play in the Fotbal Club Otelul Galati defense, Frank Sachs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nechifor Păunescu. The Fotbal Club Otelul Galati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nechifor Păunescu should have stopped the shot. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nechifor Păunescu having to interfere. In the 52nd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adrian Dreifuss to maneuver through the defense. In the 53rd minute, Cezar Cucu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's 龙冰文. But to his dismay, 龙冰文 quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 61st minute of the match Denis Dorlea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Kahn showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Alexandrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tommy Kahn made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Cezar Cucu sent off a good shot on target. In the 74th minute, Vali Cucu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Petre Săliştean was substituted for 龙冰文. After 78 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Alexandrescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Frank Sachs took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nechifor Păunescu. Nechifor Păunescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gelu Alexandrescu in the 82nd minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Germany's Tommy Kahn got control of the ball when Cezar Cucu tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Germany's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Alexandrescu came free, but Tommy Kahn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cezar Cucu. Tommy Kahn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Alexandrescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the game, Fotbal Club Otelul Galati's Gelu Alexandrescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tommy Kahn made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. When the match was over Fotbal Club Otelul Galati could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Germany throughout the match.
