Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goal looked a bit too open when Yves Dervaux came free, but Mänsur Rzayev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, one of Belgium:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Belgium. Casper Claes had in the 6thth minute some difficulties stopping Ortzi Calzado's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Hugo Neiva made a great header on Şamaxı Bankirlər's corner, it was just that Belgium's Casper Claes managed to reach the ball for a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with Mänsur Rzayev in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 12th minute, Cezary Pierz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edward Vanderstraeten in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mänsur Rzayev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Vanderstraeten blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mänsur Rzayev having to make a save. Mänsur Rzayev made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev. Mänsur Rzayev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tolek Dankowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Şamaxı Bankirlər getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Ortzi Calzado hit a great ball. In the 28th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sander Dermaut to maneuver through the defense. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Ortzi Calzado came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sander Dermaut's late challenge caught a Şamaxı Bankirlər's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sander Dermaut helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Sander Dermaut. Polad Bäbirov took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Casper Claes. Belgium's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Vanderstraeten to make the kick off. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siebe Michiels in the 51st minute of play. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 56th minute of the match. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. Edward Vanderstraeten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Şamaxı Bankirlər made a substitution. Ryszard Kilar replaced Joel Löfgren. Mänsur Rzayev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 81st minute of the match. Mänsur Rzayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgium's Guillaume Bonte quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ryszard Kilar, made in the 92nd minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 94th minute of play forced Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Ortzi Calzado managed to get in a good position for a shot. Şamaxı Bankirlər's supporters rose to their feet, but Ortzi Calzado was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
