Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Mänsur Rzayev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Dankowski in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. With a little luck, Hungary's Fodor Daniel got control of the ball when Ortzi Calzado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mänsur Rzayev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Major Barna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Löfgren hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute, Tolek Dankowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fodor Daniel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Mänsur Rzayev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute of the game Szekeres Tamas made a throw-in which Major Barna played forward.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antal Valentin to make the kick off. Fodor Daniel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ortzi Calzado went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ortzi Calzado in the 54th minute of play. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Mänsur Rzayev didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. In the 61st match minute, Şamaxı Bankirlər was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Polad Bäbirov to maneuver through the defense. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mänsur Rzayev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Hungary's Balazs Lajos got a free kick in the 65th minute. With a little luck, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev got control of the ball when Antal Valentin tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 69th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. 71 minutes into the match, Şamaxı Bankirlər's goalkeeper Mänsur Rzayev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antal Valentin. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Şamaxı Bankirlər's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Şamaxı Bankirlər's Tolek Dankowski got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Şamaxı Bankirlər's Mänsur Rzayev got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mänsur Rzayev was out of position in the 77 minute of play, and Major Barna capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Major Barna really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. Şamaxı Bankirlər made a substitution. Ryszard Kilar replaced Joel Löfgren. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Mänsur Rzayev in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mänsur Rzayev read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolek Dankowski in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hungary's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Şamaxı Bankirlər had won, even though Hungary had held more of the ball.
