In the last second Filomeno Santana throw himself and got hold of the ball when Chris Nygaard in the 22ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After 23 minutes AD FAFE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chris Nygaard who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artur Caldas in the 27th minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filomeno Santana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chris Nygaard, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Ponte in the 31st minute of play forced Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Filomeno Santana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Nygaard in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filomeno Santana saved AD FAFE from getting behind. In the 53rd minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Chris Nygaard went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Chris Nygaard got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Filomeno Santana quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, AD FAFE's Raul Sales got a free kick in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Jacinto Ponte managed to get in a good position for a shot. AD FAFE's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Ponte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Keld Paulsen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Raul Sales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of AD FAFE booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chris Nygaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denmark's Bertram Svenningsen quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Noel Regueira, made in the 76th minute of the game. Chris Nygaard struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Filomeno Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denmark.
