AD FAFE's Cecilio Avilés suffered a concussion after 7 minutes and had to leave the field. AD FAFE's Vasco Martins was substituted for Cecilio Avilés. Erik Jilek hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Denis Dostal in the 14th minute of play forced AD FAFE's goalkeeper Filomeno Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 16 minutes of play, AD FAFE's Artur Caldas made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! Vavrinec Holub made an important save on a dangerous shot by Artur Caldas in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Dostal came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Juliano Azenha got free with Vavrinec Holub in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 35th minute, Artur Caldas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vavrinec Holub. The goal made the score 2-0. 37 minutes into the match, AD FAFE's goal looked a bit too open when Denis Dostal came free, but Filomeno Santana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jacinto Ponte blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vavrinec Holub having to make a save. In the 44th minute, AD FAFE's Jacinto Ponte dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erik Jilek to make the kick off. Vavrinec Holub took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Caldas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Artur Caldas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vavrinec Holub was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Cesário Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Erik Jilek came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Czech Republic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik Jilek couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Ponte in the 83rd minute of play forced Czech Republic's goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacinto Ponte in the 93rd minute of the match. Cesário Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Vavrinec Holub tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the AD FAFE players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
