Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Róbert Pál-Szabó took the kick off in the first half of the match. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Frank Lauria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Coporan in the 8th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kian Natanael, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Frank Lauria took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Champions Iasi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alo Ülend didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 14th minute, Eliodor Moisescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Frank Lauria showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 18 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Kian Natanael came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kian Natanael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Lauria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 22nd minute of the match. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Champions Iasi's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner led Netherlands's David Eikelkamp to fire away a dangerous shot which Frank Lauria despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Róbert Pál-Szabó kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Arnout Reekers. That made the score 1-0 in the 32 minute of play. Champions Iasi's Frank Lauria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Champions Iasi's Iustin Coporan got a free kick in the 46th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fritz Bergström during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 47 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Champions Iasi! Gijsbert ter Kruimer placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Frank Lauria threw himself towards the right post 63 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. 68 minutes into the match, Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Frank Lauria had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wim Wilmes. In the 74thth minute of the game Kian Natanael who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iustin Coporan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 83 minutes Champions Iasi's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Kees Mooiweer advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 84th minute. 87 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Iustin Coporan came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 90th minute of the match Corneliu Lupescu sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arnout Reekers skillfully saved the ball. After 93 minutes of play, Champions Iasi's Kian Natanael made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netherlands players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Champions Iasi.
