In the 11th match minute, Daustad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Børge Børseth to maneuver through the defense. Idar Istad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antal Valentin in the 13th minute of the match. Idar Istad made an important save on a dangerous shot by Antal Valentin in the 16th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hungary's Antal Valentin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Idar Istad. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. After 28th play minutes Antal Valentin shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Idar Istad and just under the crossbar into goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Major Barna took a quick shot and it went in 4-0 without a chance for Idar Istad to make any attempt to save it. 39 minutes into the game, Major Barna cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Idar Istad was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Daustad defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Idar Istad. The Daustad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Idar Istad should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fridtjof Ferstad in the 46th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Vörös Henrik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hungary's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Daustad the free kick. 47 minutes into the game, one of Hungary:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fodor Daniel went to the wrong direction when Fridtjof Ferstad was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

In the 52nd minute, Martin Stavnes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 60th minute of play forced Daustad's goalkeeper Idar Istad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Major Barna fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Idar Istad quite easily take care of the ball. In the 63rd minute of the match Hungary got a corner. Daustad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Major Barna struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Idar Istad didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Martin Rydland hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Idar Istad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hungary fully deserved thier win.
