Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Germany's Frank Sachs got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 63rd minute, Adan Luken got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bertil Wästerberg during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adan Luken blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tommy Kahn having to make a save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Löttorp eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
