After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Alexandru Eugen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. Truman Harrington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yves Dervaux in the 9th minute of play. Belgium's Yves Dervaux got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Truman Harrington took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after PALMEIRAS-UTAH's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandru Eugen in the 14th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A nice corner shot did that Edward Vanderstraeten got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Truman Harrington quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 25th minute, Aloísio Lima made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. A collision led to PALMEIRAS-UTAH getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Dominik Olchawa hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 41st minute of play forced PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalkeeper Truman Harrington to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edward Vanderstraeten who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Truman Harrington when he managed to save the team from getting behind. They were angered to see Belgium lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
