BumboTava's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of BumboTava:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Netherlands:s goal. Zigrīds Paupers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 12th minute of the match BumboTava got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elói Siqueira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Zigrīds Paupers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Prince Blaine hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute of the match Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zigrīds Paupers skillfully saved the ball. Zigrīds Paupers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathijn Doctor in the 16th minute of the match. In the 18thth minute of the game Gustaaf Groeneveldt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BumboTava's Zigrīds Paupers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gijsbert ter Kruimer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, BumboTava's Jacinto Rodríguez got a free kick in the 25th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer scored 0-3 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zigrīds Paupers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaaf Groeneveldt might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zigrīds Paupers. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zigrīds Paupers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute of the match. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 42th minute after BumboTava's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. When Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt, in the 46th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tabb Bornes went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tabb Bornes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by BumboTava's Tabb Bornes. But to his dismay, Tabb Bornes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Don Cuca in the 66th minute of play. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Don Cuca in the 66th minute of the match. In the 67th minute of the match BumboTava got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elói Siqueira ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio Frances was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. A collision led to BumboTava getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jacinto Rodríguez hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Netherlands's Zigrīds Paupers threw himself towards the right post 74 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lars Meesters, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 76th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xoan Huguet in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lars Meesters hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zigrīds Paupers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after BumboTava's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Lars Meesters heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Despite being the better team, Netherlands failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
