Gheorghe Bociort didn't get a good kick on the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Cupșa came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belgium's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 8th minute. In the 9th match minute, Belgium was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurens Vandamme to maneuver through the defense. After 11 minutes of play, Belgium's Yves Dervaux made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iacob Povară was left in no man's land by his defense there! Iosif Găman in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Casper Claes, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Edward Vanderstraeten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 24th minute of play forced F.C CLUJ MEDICINA's goalkeeper Iacob Povară to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Iacob Povară didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yves Dervaux went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the F.C CLUJ MEDICINA defense, Edward Vanderstraeten kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iacob Povară. The F.C CLUJ MEDICINA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iacob Povară should have stopped the shot. In the 42nd match minute, F.C CLUJ MEDICINA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Iulian Nicorici to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gheorghe Bociort in the 45th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. In the 57th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iacob Povară saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. F.C CLUJ MEDICINA made a substitution. Francisc Ciocoiu replaced Iosif Găman. Sorin Cupșa kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Iacob Povară made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. 69 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Pancu came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Vanderstraeten could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Iacob Povară made a huge save. After 88 played minutes F.C CLUJ MEDICINA got a freekick which was hit by Luca Pancu. Alfonso Nastasio got a throw-in 91 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Luca Pancu. In the 94th minute Luca Pancu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisc Ciocoiu took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3.
