Eugen Mantoiu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Özgün Hatip came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Sigvart Biegel notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eugen Mantoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 29 minutes of play, Portugal's Felipe Barreto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Lindberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dennis Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Feliks Domaracki hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Portugal's attentive Daniel Pimentel managed to snatch the ball when Gösta Lönn made a throw-in in the 42nd minute of the game. The supporters of Portugal booed when Galapagos Islands FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Charlie Spetz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Felipe Barreto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dennis Lindberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Özgün Hatip was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Dennis Lindberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Barreto. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgün Hatip in the 57th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Özgün Hatip in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Dennis Lindberg made a huge save. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Özgün Hatip in the 61st minute of play. Dennis Lindberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipe Barreto in the 63rd minute. Dennis Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Galapagos Islands FC's zone, Felipinho Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Lindberg came out of the goal and Felipinho Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sigvart Biegel, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigvart Biegel in the 74th minute of play. Dennis Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 76th minute of the match. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Özgün Hatip in the 80th minute of play. 80 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Galapagos Islands FC's Özgün Hatip fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Dennis Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 87th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 89th minute of play forced Galapagos Islands FC's goalkeeper Dennis Lindberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Lindberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. Galapagos Islands FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
