An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 46th minute of play forced DIPLOMATA FC PAB's goalkeeper Chico Donato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, David Eikelkamp hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chico Donato made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 79th minute of play. Olivier Gilg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Rodrigo Cisterna was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIPLOMATA FC PAB's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. A collision led to DIPLOMATA FC PAB getting a freekick after 93 minutes play.
