The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 27th minute Bas Tuitert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgo Lööper saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bas Tuitert took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgo Lööper. Virgo Lööper dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 34th minute FC Muuga United were awarded a corner. Federico Di Natale went to the cornerflag to take it. When Remigio Jerold fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Muuga United's protests and gave Remigio Jerold a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Muuga United's Remigio Jerold got a free kick in the 41st minute. Egbert Nijveldt lost his temper 44 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 43 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Netherlands! Netherlands:s Arnout Reekers showed great skill when he stopped Janar Taelma:s penalty. The FC Muuga United fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when FC Muuga United's Laur Pererahu looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 55th minute of play forced FC Muuga United's goalkeeper Virgo Lööper to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dariusz Brudnicki in the 56th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Arnout Reekers successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 59 minutes into the game, FC Muuga United's Laur Pererahu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Virgo Lööper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 63rd minute of play. After some careless play in the FC Muuga United defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgo Lööper. The FC Muuga United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgo Lööper should have stopped the shot. Virgo Lööper made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 78th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Virgo Lööper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Eikelkamp in the 80th minute of the match. After 82 minutes FC Muuga United's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gijsbert ter Kruimer who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Lars Meesters got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 4-2. 82 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the game, FC Muuga United's Janar Taelma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arnout Reekers made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-3. In the 90th minute, FC Muuga United's Laur Pererahu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-4. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teet Vahing, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Laur Pererahu came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
