Patryk Kensicki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. But to his dismay, Bartosz Lizewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Patryk Kensicki. Patryk Kensicki dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Veth Crystals's Edward Oliszewski got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gwidon Patora in the 45th minute of play. After the first half Netherlands were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

62 minutes into the match, Veth Crystals's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Meesters came free, but Patryk Kensicki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Witold Lepucki in the 67th minute of the match. Patryk Kensicki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veth Crystals made a substitution. He Lin Di replaced Gwidon Patora. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olgierd Ziemniak in the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Veth Crystals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edward Oliszewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer took a good shot, in the 92nd minute, which hit the crossbar above Patryk Kensicki's head, and flew over the goal. Veth Crystals's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Netherlands. After 95 minutes of play, Veth Crystals's Witold Lepucki made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arnout Reekers was left in no man's land by his defense there!
