Veth Crystals's Patryk Kensicki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 38th minute of play. Olgierd Ziemniak hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gwidon Patora in the 67th minute of play. Patryk Kensicki was a little too slow when Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 70th minute. The score was now 3-3. After 76 played minutes Veth Crystals got a freekick which was hit by Alejandro Bullon. Veth Crystals made a substitution. He Lin Di replaced Gwidon Patora. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Veth Crystals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alejandro Bullon didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Veth Crystals got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bartosz Lizewski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartosz Lizewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Netherlands players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
