When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alonso Suloaga. After 19 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Through an outstanding action, after 22 minutes, Alonso Suloaga successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Suloaga saved Kanalla F.C from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Gijsbert ter Kruimer put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alonso Suloaga. When Szymon Wachna fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kanalla F.C's protests and gave Szymon Wachna a yellow card for diving instead. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alonso Suloaga having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 30thth minute, Alonso Suloaga skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Szymon Wachna struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kanalla F.C. A collision led to Kanalla F.C getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marcelinho Carioca hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Kees Mooiweer. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alonso Suloaga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alonso Suloaga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55thth minute of the game Szymon Wachna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Netherlands's Arnout Reekers was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56thth minute of the game Gijsbert ter Kruimer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kanalla F.C's Alonso Suloaga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Alonso Suloaga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wim Wilmes in the 67th minute of play forced Kanalla F.C's goalkeeper Alonso Suloaga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alonso Suloaga narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 94 minutes, Kees Mooiweer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Kanalla F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 94th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kees Mooiweer to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
