In the 11thth minute of the game Edward Vanderstraeten who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒's 方云朋 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 15 minutes into the match, 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒's goalkeeper 方云朋 had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 刘磊强 in the 16th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edward Vanderstraeten got free with 方云朋 in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Belgium's attentive Guillaume Bonte managed to snatch the ball when 周梁云 made a throw-in in the 21st minute of the game. In the 23rd minute, 刘磊强 ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Casper Claes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 26 minutes into the match, 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒's 刘磊强 sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Casper Claes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mathias De Ligt's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mathias De Ligt helped the player get up and apologised. Belgium's Aaron Decoster was substituted for Yves Dervaux. After the first half 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Belgium's Casper Claes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Belgium from getting a goal against them. In the 82nd match minute, 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 康铮风 to maneuver through the defense. When Aaron Decoster came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aaron Decoster couldn't finish the play. The Belgium manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing 【粤】誰嶼爭鋒 to win.
