The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Velloso got free with Tommy Kahn in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Charles Björkqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 6th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, Willy Stieler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A sloppy throw-in by Willy Stieler in the 13th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Here Comes the Hammer's Tord Spetz. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Velloso in the 14th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's Valdir Velloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 29 minutes into the match, Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Velloso. 36 minutes into the game, Valdir Velloso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Here Comes the Hammer's Charles Björkqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Here Comes the Hammer from getting a goal against them. 57 minutes into the game, Willy Stieler was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Here Comes the Hammer the free kick. A collision led to Germany getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Willy Stieler hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Germany's Albin Holweck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Charles Björkqvist. That made the score 4-1 after 68 minutes of play. Tommy Kahn came out of the goal in the 78th minute to try and stop a shot by Here Comes the Hammer's Valdir Velloso. But to his dismay, Valdir Velloso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Here Comes the Hammer's Elof Åström was substituted for Gustav Larsfelt. A collision led to Here Comes the Hammer getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Tord Spetz hit a great ball. 86 minutes into the match, Here Comes the Hammer's Carlinhos Félix sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
