Alexis Bruneau's late challenge caught a Lucca F.C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alexis Bruneau helped the player get up and apologised. Camille Baume fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Mattos having to interfere. Lucca F.C's Tarcisio Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camille Baume in the 15th minute of play. If Robert Chapuis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Peletier got free with Tarcisio Mattos in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Oscar Diniz hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, France's Maxence Durand got a free kick in the 27th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rudy Letsch in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maxime Durand saved France from getting behind. Tarcisio Mattos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frank Peletier in the 33rd minute. Tarcisio Mattos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Maxime Durand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Adelino Domingues went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. After 41 played minutes France got a freekick which was hit by Alexis Bruneau. Adelino Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frank Peletier made a kick off. Maxime Durand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adelino Domingues in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 58th minute, Lucca F.C's Adelino Domingues dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Lucca F.C's zone, Remy Dupuy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tarcisio Mattos came out of the goal and Remy Dupuy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 65th match minute, Lucca F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Gaúcho to maneuver through the defense. David Barbier, 66 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 68th minute Adelino Domingues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Peletier couldn't finish the play. Tarcisio Mattos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Lucca F.C's Vânderson Linhares got a free kick in the 96th minute. Lucca F.C were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over France's much stronger midfield.
